The department of Maxillofacial surgery works hand in hand with the dental department and Neurosurgery department. All fractures of the face, orbit, maxilla, zygomatic bone and mandible secondary to trauma and road traffic accidents are treated by the maxillofacial surgeon. Through close cooperation and teamwork with the Neurosurgeon, the Maxfax department is able to treat almost all craniofacial fractures and injuries. A state of the art operating theatre with laminar airflow, drill system and operating microscope is available.
